Working for General Motors is cool. They told me I had five days to learn two jobs. I have learned three in three days. Woot! One of the temps that came in with me is still working on his first job. I feel sorry for him, but then he could be playing dumb so that they don't see how much he can do. I am a fast learner and I take pride in that. Of course, it has gotten me in to some situations I would have preferred not to be in, but look at this one from my stand point. If you learn all five jobs in our line rotation then you rotate with the rest of the group all night. Every hour you rotate to a different job instead of doing the same thing all night. Two more jobs and I will be fully rotational but the other guy will still be stuck on the same job. I like variety. Maybe he doesn't. Oh well.
So heres how it works. There are five members on our team. Well seven if you count the temps training. We have a team leader and our team leader has a group leader. The group leader and one of my team members are good friends of my dad. From what I understand the group leader has authority over me not the team leader. The team leader is really cool though. Everyone on my team is really nice. I am glad I got such a good team.
Other news.
I joined www.writing.com It is a really cool site and I urge writers to join. There is a group there called the creative writing group and upon joining wdc you should join this group and take part in the writing classes they offer. Even with my now restricted internet time I have enjoyed this site. What happens there is writers are able to post thier work and other writers will review it. It is nice to get reviews from people who understand what your work means to you. They are always kind and helpful in their reviews and will even help you with grammar errors. I hate grammar but I am slowly catching my own mess ups. I don't really care much if my writing is proper here, as long as I get my point across.
Heh, I need a commenter. Someone comment damn it! (LOL, sorry) I must not be very interesting.
Serina is doing good with school so far. She goes back again monday. The babysitter is working out okay but Wyatt hates it when I leave him. It makes me so sad when he cries and tries to cling to me but I know I have to go. If I ever want to have a chance to get hired on at GM I have to go. If I make one mistake I can give up on my hopes and will probably be let go immediately.
Writing.
Not much. A little here and there. I need to work on Trinity's entrance into Born of Magic so that I can post it to a contest on WDC. It's one of those entrances where you are like "Damn, what the hell is wrong with this girl." I wanted a hook into the story and it was originally the first chapter, but I moved it. Now it is chapter one of book two. Holly starts book one with a really dramatic entrance. I had to move Trinity because there were too many people running around in book one. I had eight people to keep up with and six points of view. It was horrible. I split it up. Book one is Holly and Shawns point of view. Book two will be Trinity and Xavier, and book three will be Wyatt and Hailey. Book four will be a coming together of sorts mostly from Holly or Trinity's point of view. It is important to the book to have the other four points of view in the begining however. The only problem with this is that Wyatt and Hailey's book will be really short. I guess I could tack it on the end of book two. Whatever I do it will be great. It is such a good book. I don't think I will have any trouble selling it on its completion.
Comments???????? I need a few, just cause!
