I hate insurance companies. My husband pays $80 a week for our insurance and it is worthless. I took two of the kids to the doctor for booster shots, THAT THE GOVERNMENT SAYS THEY HAVE TO HAVE before they can go to school. I got my bill in the mail. $791 before my insurance paid. Guess how much the bill was after insurance paid. Go ahead make a guess I'll give you a second...

$791, wait you might be thinking, isnt that the same amount. Observant arnt you. Yes, infact, that is the same amount. What is the point of having insurance, you may be thinking. That is precisely what I am thinking. $80 a week for absolutely nothing.
Thats not even half of it. My husband has a toe nail fungus.... EEEEEEWWWWWW.... it is gross. I took him to the doctor, who the insurance paid nothing for, and he says, "Take one a day for 90 days."
"Okay," my husband says and we carry the perscription to the phamacy... Later we return to find that our insurance has refused to pay anything on the scrip and it is $364 for 30 pills. Add. That is over $1000 for the full scrip. We called the doctor and the doctor said, "No more monkeys jumpin on the bed..." oops wrong doctor. "That is the only thing there is that you can take. There is no generic or other brand."
"Great," we say and forget about it.
Now this is why I love my parents-in-law. My husband goes over there last night a month after all this other happened and he makes some comment about ripping his toenail off. His mother worries about everything and proceeds to tell him that he needs the medicine. He has to have the medicine. His dad comes home. Get the medicine, you need the medicine. The husband tells them about our insurance problems. Now my husband is half cocked after being yelled at for four hours about not doing anything. He went to work today with every bill we have gotten and he is going to yell at the insurance rep.
Great, I am thinking. This can't be good. I am going to have to bail him out of jail. I just want to drop the worthless insurance and hope no one gets too sick. I don't even go to the doctor. I only take the kids for thier shots. If I get sick I struggle through it. If the kids get sick I used to pump them full of tylenol and motrin but motrin makes serina's temp go sky high so just tylenol now. The kids have never really been sick. A slight cold here, a stomach virus there. Nothing really bad. A lot of times I can call their doctor and tell the doctor what they have and he writes me a scrip. Like a few months ago we had a bout with pink eye. I never took the kids to the doctor. I just called. Insurance didn't pay any on the scrip btw.
It is gonna be funny when my husband comes home and tells me what I told him last night. "The reason they are not paying is because we have not met our deductables."
I'm not stupid I know what is going on. The fact is that we do not go to the doctor enough in one year to get the deductables paid. I'm sure the insurance is great after the deductables are met. It will never happen though. We have a $750 a piece deductable plus a all in family of 1500. ROFLMAO! Insurance companies suck.
